Join a Museum tour guide to explore the exhibits in the Halls of Vertebrate Origins, Reptiles and Amphibians, Biodiversity, Mexico and Central America and Asian Peoples. Learn more about the evolution of lizards and snakes in the fossil record, their biology, behavior, and their roles in myths and legends throughout history. 

This tour is appropriate for participants ages 10 and up.

Join us to learn more about the anatomy, habitat, and behavior of the diverse and vibrant bird life found in our own back yard. Museum Naturalist Noah Burg will teach young explorers new observational skills such as, how to set up and use binoculars, as well as how to identify bird calls. We will then head out to Central Park and put these skills to the test as we observe the wondrous sounds and colors of the fall migration. Binoculars and bird guides are included.

This program is recommended for families with children ages 4-10. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

These programs include about 45 minutes of walking.
